[Resolved] [Resolved] Echoing record count

Hi I need to do a search where my Cust_ID=Cust_ID and then it counts up all the records that are equal to that.

So like if I have 3 record in a table that have the same Cust_ID, I want it to echo back 3, if 4 records, echo back 4, and so on.

I hope that make some kind of sense and any help would be great!

Check out the aggregate functions in the mysql manual. I don't quite get what you want, but it sounds like you want COUNT.

$result = mysql_query("SELECT COUNT(*) FROM table WHERE Cust_ID = 3");
$row = mysql_fetch_row($result);
$num_records = $row[0];
