Please help me with this

OK - first off, please don't BAN me for this posting. I am at wits end trying to find a quality programmer for a project I am working on. I promise, I won't disclose the particulars of the project here, but I TRULY and sincerely hope that those of you who read this will understand why I came here and joined this forum...

I have a rather large scale project that my LLC and I are trying to get off of the ground. The long term and 'back end' is HUGE, and don't let that scare you - there will be pay for your work.

I am looking for someone with a bit of web design experience, along with the ability ot build the PHP/MySQL back end that I need for these sites. Total there are four, but they actually span out into a network of about thirty. They will shortly become some of the busiest web sites online, and I need a COMPETENT developer who can GET THE JOB DONE, and can work under somewhat demanding circumstances, to help us launch this excellent idea.

So again, as I have already been to a NUMBER of other message boards and forums, and tried to politely ask my way into discussions to pose this request, I have YET to find anyone interested, and this is far too big an opportunity for EVERYONE to pass up.

I hope this resonates with soemone here, and I hope to hear from someone soon, as this project is on a bit of a timeline, and the sooner the better....

I completely understand your predicament, and your post was worded quite eloquently. However, that does not change the fact that the rules on this board prohibit posting jobs. This is because it's owned by internet.com, which is owned by Jupiter Media, and Jupermedia owns job posting sites.

If you want to post a job, and are looking for competent PHP/MySQL developers, then I suggest you post a legitimate job posting at Monster, JustTechJobs, CareerBuilder, etc. Posting desperately in a forum just doesn't sound like the deal is completely on the up-and-up.

I read the rules, and looked for that provision, but I guess i missed it. Nonethe less, that is really too bad, because, I tell you this - Monster and the likes don't have what I am looking for.

There could be no BIGGER 'on the up and up' project that is around, but I will take my search elsewhere.

Maybe - and I say this with the utmost in respect - one day this Internet will be actually what I have been waiting TEN years to play in......a land of the truly free. I mean, not to rant, but it sure seems like this should be the place to find that 'hungry programmer'. I recall when I was just starting out as an aspiring SEO, and I ached for this type of opportunity. I know there HAVE to be tons of young HOT developers out there, and likely here, that would love to get involved in something like this - but I saddly accept that I won't find them here 'proper', rather somwhere else, and obviously at another time.

Please understand... I agree with you. I myself have been out of steady work for 18 months now, and I would welcome such an opportunity. However, I am also a member of this community, and feel that it's my duty to respect the rules here, as hard as it may be.

Truly , I do understand.

So - tell me, since you are IN the biz, maybe you can tell me somwhere else where you top level developers hang out, that is NOT owned by someone with a Job Site - so I can actually find someone to work on this project with me.

Any help will be appreciated - and listen, I know I saw a REgulation that mentioned NOT sending emails to the authors asking for help, but can't you and I open up a disucssion outside of the board, if you send me an email NOT asking for help.....?

Anyhow - any assistance will be appreciated, and none is understandable...
