Ok, I notice that many times, posters want to put a forum tag in their posts without it actually working as advertised -- for instance, you want to tell someone the proper use of the [php] and [/php] tags, and still use:
// this php code block
in the same post.
I have seen many people use [php ] and [/php ] (with spaces), which of course requires that you tell the newbie to remove the spaces. Or, you'll use other characters, with the same consequenses.
Here's my handy dandy, Buzzified® way of doing this. If you use this technique, please send $.50 to my paypal account each time, as I'm patenting it. 😃
simply put another forum tag inside the tag. What do I mean? Like this:
[[b][/b]php] and [[b][/b]/php].
Cool, huh? (Incidentally, in order to make the above [b] tags appear in the above, I used the same trick with the italics tag. You do NOT want to see how ugly that looks LOL).
So... there you have it. My SFTOFD. If you have anything similar to share, or want to tell me how pathetic my life is for thinking of things like this, feel free.
