records in columns and rows

hey i want to insert records from a database like this:

image1 ||||| image2

user1 ||||| user2

image3 |||| image4
user3 ||||| user4

etc etc....

I want for example:

image1 to be on the top row of a cell and then user1 on bottom of the cell, then in the next column of image and username. Then make it go down on the next row for the rest of the results...

Is this possible at all? I been trying to figure out how to, but every output i try to make it comes down in rows and not as above.

That's referring to the entire printf line, so let's start there... For starters...

printf("<td align=center><a href=\"%s?id=%s\">%s<br>%s</a></td> ",  $PHP_SELF, $myrow["image"], $myrow["username"]);

You only have 3 arguments defined, but 4 formats in the printf() function's string...

No prob about the bumping... Just an FYI, you generally won't get a favorable or quick response when you bump. Sometimes you can ask a question and get no response for sevaral hours... Just be patient. (And besides, as you already know, there are ways to "bump" your post without being obvious about it.)
