Creating a seating finder

Hello ::

I"m new to PHP and wanted to ask what is the best way to go about making a seating finder... where someone from a drop down menu enters in the section, then another drop down menu enters the row, then in a text area enters a 3 digit seat number. The results would retrieve a image showing their seat area highlighted (I already have these images made)

I'm just not sure the best way to build this so it is efficient... lots of seats and rows. I assume that I'm going to need a mysql database to handle this. Your general thoughts on this would be highly appreciated!!

You are talking about Javascript magics... I guess you dont need multiple images... Use the whole seating area as a background for html table and move a high luminent transparent image over this image according to user entered details... This will be fun in Javascript...

Wow, thats way over my head 🙂 I'm just looking for a solution with PHP. I want to do something like this :: http://www.theecenter.com/tickets/ But , I'm not sure how they did it.
