I am having a hard time trying to install mysql on my windows 2003 server. I downloaded mysql-4.0.20d-win and then I double clicked on the setup.exe file but nothing happens. I looked in my c:\windows\temp\ directory and each time I hit setup a file called scs??.tmp is created. The ?? means some number and letter combinination example: scs58.tmp . Can anyone tell be how to solve this issue. I have already tried downloaded a new file several time with the same results.
