How do you stay on the same page after calc a var?

I am building a mortgage calculator. I have a form that asks for th e principal, mort rate and number of years.

I then want to display the monthly payment on a field farther down on the screen.

I have the form and a function that works - I link to a seperate php page and see the results.

Now how do I stay on the same page - or make it seem like I do - and just pop-up the monthly payment in a field?

I can do a submit button and jump to the same page that I start on - the original form. For some reason I don't see the monthly payment when I link back to the original form - only if I link to a completely different webpage.

Wish there was a "Refresh" button in Html/Php.

You can put your code into the page that the form is on, and have the form action sent to the same page that it is on. That way, when the form is submitted, it can display the results as well as the form again.
