session and post variables

Hey if I have session_register('email'); and then in a form have an input named email, $email is blank when I hit submit and to get the value out of the form I need to do $POST[email] correct? Isn't there a setting on the system for this? On my other sites my code works. But on this one I'd need to change everything from $variable to $POST[variable] cause everything is registered earlier on.

The setting would be register_globals. If you plan on using them on, make sure you understand the security risks with poorly programmed code. You will be better off correcting your code.

Plus, it's not $POST[email], it's $POST['email']--the quotes do matter.

i have it turned on. sessions are working but POST is different than SESSION on this server finally.
I used this code to fix it all.

foreach ($_POST as $key => $value)
{
	$_SESSION[$key] = $value;
}

By the way everyone tells me the quotes matter yet I have never used them. It works fine on every site I do on my server.

so if a constant in PHP is ever changed to my variable name id be screwed? i doubt any words i use will become constants but in new codes I'll start using the quotes.
