[Resolved] Store images using a path or ULR

Hi All,

I know there is thousand post on here relating to images and trust me when I say I have read most of them today.

All I want to do is to store my images in a directory and have the path or URl held in a feild in the database so when the script runs the image will be displayed.

I have tried but the end result is the the path is displayed in place of the image.

I know I am doing something incorrect but what that something is I do not know.

Can anyone advise me with some constructive comments.

Since you didn't show any code and from the sounds of it I'll assume that you're doing something like:

$result = mysql_query("SELECT image FROM table WHERE id=$id");
$row = mysql_fetch_array($result);
$image = $row['image'];
.
.
.
//Show image
echo $image;

If that's the case, all you need to do is echo $image inside an <img> tag.

echo "<img src=\"$image\">";
