Image directory help

Has anyone written or seen a scaled down php script that would allow you to take a local directory full of images, generate thumbnails from them into a different folder, list them in a table with preview thumbnails and checkbox the ones you don't want and delete them from the server?

Sorry if its a bad question, everything I'm finding does 100 other things with the images, or lists the directory without thumbnails, or doesn't generate thumbnails.

You can make a table in mySQL with the link of all your images and then on your web page just call them by a query

$Images= mysql_db_query ("SELECT Pictures from mytable ")

<?
while ($ListImages = mysql_fetch_array($Images)){
$Pictures = $ListImages["Pictures"];
?>

<img src = "<? echo $Pictures; ?>" width="250" height="250">

<?
}
?>

And if you want them to be thumbnails just add the link

Hey there, I am looking for a php script that does exactly this. I don't want it to use links to images from a database though as recommended by the 2nd poster. Anyone happen to know of something like this that is already made?

I have been searching for about 2 hours, and have not had any success.

If not, I will probably start an endeavor to create one myself.
