Sports Comp

Hey,

Has anyone every made or looked at a sport competition script? I'm looking at making one right now and as always i'm writing down how I want it to work but this time i'm having trouble.

Thing to keep in mind
I need to run serveral competitons.
I have limited MSQ databases

I will need to print a draw and a table.

Has anyone done anything like this before. the hardest part is making the table.

Then work out what teams have won (have two cells Team1 and Team2 and have the team ID in each) then once I have worked out the wins times the wins by two (if a win is worth two points) to print on my competition table??

Yes that sort of thing is easily done with PHP/SQL.

Not sure if you're looking for round robin style, instant death or if there will be a "plate" round. What sports are you making this for?

I've looked at doing something for my local tennis club with player register so you can see how they've played in this and previous tournaments, the whole 9 yards!

So, scope it well, and decide just how much you are trying to do before you even start writing.
