Sending sms from website to mobile

Hello everybody,

We want to send sms to a list of people from our website. Can any body help me with the script please? Is there any such free script available on the net?

afaik you will need a special gateway to send sms, which is a rather pricey thing... i used to utilize t-mobiles sms sender by simply piping the messages from my site through the script on their website. that should work with any system that doesnt have a referer check bulilt in.

Also, most cell companies have email addresses associated with each phone number. Those email addresses USUALLY act as a mail->sms gateway. But AFAIK there isn't a master list of these email suffixes, nor anyway to really detect what company a number is with.

But we want to implement this in our site. So what steps should we follow. We are in India. So sms will be sent from the site to mobiles both within India & abroad.

Probably the first thing you need to do is go to different providers and find out what the generic email address is for their gateway. For instance, I believe that AT&T uses [e-mail]. I take that back, I know that they do. So go around, find out what they use, and you've got your solution, very easily too.
