I'm running Norton Internet Security 2004 on Win XP Home. NIS Program Control creates an alert "A remote system is attempting to access your computer." The remote address is always different. It happens so frequently that I am sometimes clicking "Block" as much as I am typing. Norton support was no help at all. Turning off intrusion alert reporting does not switch this off. Have searched for adware and viruses.
I've tried re-installing NIS but the problem started again as soon as the install was complete. I've tried importing settings from a colleagues working version that has no problems but that still hasnt sorted it.
