Separating textsections in .txt

Hi!

I have a php-page that outputs textfiles. The texts are displayed and all but the problem is that I would need to separate the lines.

The .txt-files are written as the first line is the headline, the secondline is the first part of the text and the third line is the second part of the text. The lines are written without linebreaks.

This is how I want it to be displayed:

Headline
Textpart 1
Textpart 2

Can this be done? I have tried with the function eregi but it "chopped" the text!

Would be really thankful for a fast answer!

From your post I could understand(not sure) that u r using fread() to read from text file... try using fgets() that should solve your problem something like...

$fhandle = fopen("filename.txt","rt")

while(!feof($fhandle))
{
$headlinevar = fgets($fhandle);
echo "Header Line: $headlinevar";

$textvar1 = fgets($fhandle);
echo "Header Line: $textvar1";
$textvar2 = fgets($fhandle);
echo "Header Line: $textvar2";

}

@readfile("11002.txt");
