Anybody point me in the right direction?

I'm totally new to this. I run a fantasy league website and am considering using MYSQL for the table but I want the weekly points total scored for each player to appear on the personal html home page I have built for each of them. Is there any way this can be done?

You need to write an SQL query that will extract that information that you want and then display it using php. This page will give you a basic idea of what to do.

Yes it's possible. MySQL provides math operator functionality in the queries, or you can use the PHP math operators to do your calculations... Best to start digging into the MySQL and PHP manuals.
