Searching a string

Hi!

I have this problem. I think it should be simple to solve, and therefor it's driving me crazy, so please help 🙂

I have a string wich consists of up to 14 letters (AABBCCDDEEFFGG), I know which order they come in, but not which groups of letters this string contains (like AA or DD).

So what I need to know is how do I find out if EE is in this group?

check the manual on string functions take a look at strstr or strpos etc http://uk2.php.net/strings
