PHP mail question - To: field

Hi,

I'm trying to send mail via PHP using the mail function. I am having problems correctly specifying the TO: field tho. My code is:

PHP Code:

$email = "[e-mail]" 
$subject = "Hi"; 
$message = "Hi again"; 
$name = "John Smith"; 
$fromEmail = "[e-mail]"; 

mail($email, $subject, $message, 
         "To: $name \r\n" . 
         "From: ".$fromEmail."\r\n" . 
         "Reply-To: ".$fromEmail."\r\n" . 
         "X-Mailer: PHP/" . phpversion()); 

The problem is, the To: field always shows up as "[e-mail]" where "mail.myserver.com" is my mailserver.

What am I doing wrong in specifying the To: field ?

Try changing it to:

$email = "[e-mail]"  

$subject = "Hi";  

$message = "Hi again";  

$name = "John Smith";  

$fromEmail = "[e-mail]";  

mail($email, $subject, $message,  

         "To: ".$name." <".$email."> \r\n" .  

         "From: ".$fromEmail."\r\n" .  

         "Reply-To: ".$fromEmail."\r\n" .  

         "X-Mailer: PHP/" . phpversion());

Taken from the PHP site:

Note: Make sure you do not have any newline characters in the to or subject, or the mail may not be sent properly.

$headers .= "To: Mary <[e-mail]>, Kelly <[e-mail]>\r\n";
