When helping solve my problem, please assume I'm a crazy old grandmother who doesn't know how to turn on her computer.
Here's the deal: I downloaded some fancy PHP calender business that required me to make a database and blah blah blah. I read the README file and the installation went smoothly and everything was working right on target.
I got to this part and had some trouble.
10. To show the calendar on your website, simply open the file where you want the calendar to
show, and add a simple php include, pointing to your calendar files.
If you want to show the events as a list, use something like this:
<? include("/path/to/PHPCalendar/list.php")?>
If you want to show the events as a traditional calendar, use something like this:
<? include("/path/to/PHPCalendar/calendar.php")?>
The same goes for the year and birthdays calendars.
I stuck that bold "simple" PHP include in my file and the calendar never showed up. (<? include("http://www.idealprattle.com/calendar/calendar.php")?>)
I can see the calendar when I load that address alone AND I can see the calendar with my website's skin when I log out of my admin panel for the calendar. What's the deal with that?
Here's my website: http://www.idealprattle.com - NO CALENDAR
Here's the magic URL where it shows up: http://www.idealprattle.com/calendar/admin.php?action=logout
Oh, gasp, calendar!
What on earth is going on?
ps. If you wanna suggest a better calendar option on the side, I'm open. All this trouble for a calendar I'm not even crazy about. But I want one and I'm gonna learn how to use it if it kills me.
