get the date based on week no

hey, im new at php, but i have a project need to use week no as a time range to generate the report.

When user type 0401 at the textbox, system will find the start date and end date of year 2004, week one --> 01 (0401).

Start date is 2004-01-01 and end date is 2004-01-04 and so on...

Like Shrike said, read the manual... This is the second thread in which you have been referred to the date() function... If you take some time and read through the manual, you will see and find that the date() function can be your very best friend... It doesn't even require THAT much thought into figuring out how to use it either... Just read up, and you'll get it.

So sorry to all of you, I think I already waste our member's time to read my post.

I just start my php a few weeks, maybe im too anxious to do my project without read thoroughly the manual, but now I already try to read the manual deeply and understand it.

You're not wasting our time... Believe me, you aren't the first person to post on here wherein you are referred to the manual several times, so don't take it personally... In fact, if you search these forums for date(), you'd find a lot of topics dealing with the same issue you are asking about...

It is more of a waste of your own time, than ours... We already have the answer, and you are the one waiting around for it. In the time it takes us to respond, you'd most likely find the answer yourself...

Also, a tip for you... If you make some of your own code, and have problems with it... post it here for debugging. You'd get a warmer reception than if you just come here and ask "How do I do......"

Your not troubling anyone, everyone starts somewhere. The best places to learn are here (via searches first), php.net and mysql.com. A little time and reading will get you a long ways, trust me.
