Automatic gateway for all outbound links?

Is it possible to force all external links to pass through one page which then re-directs to the URL requested? I would only want this for one folder though so does .htaccess have anything on this?

http://www.domain.com/jump.php?url=http://www.otherdomain.com/

On the jump page:

IF(isset($_GET['url']) && $_GET['url'] != '') {
  $jumplink = $_GET['url'];
  header("Location: $jumplink");
} else {
  echo "No URL was specified";
}

Of course, you would want to build in some error checking to ensure it is a valid URL you are jumping to, but this is the basic...

Thanks for the reply but that wasn't what I was really after. If i used that method I would have to edit every link, so i'm looking for a way to do it without editing any links. sorry if i was unclear.

Ahhh, not really too sure how you'd accomplish this with htaccess... or if it's even possible.

Its not possible. Once the user has downloaded the html to their browser you no longer have any control over it.

You might be able to write some JavaScript function, and add an onclick event to your links, but again, you'd have to edit your links... It's not that hard to copy and paste "http://www.domain.com/jump.php?url=" to the beginning of your links... and to write a basic jump.php page like I have given you above. Either way, your code, as it is now, will need some modding, I s'pose.
