When I install PHP it states that some things were not cofigured properly. A person tried to help me online via messenger. That did not work because he told me to write a script and then test my server.

This prompted a file download. He said that was not right.
We had done some configuringin MIME and FILTER settings of the XITAMI control panel.
I am a complete rookie and would like to have a forum up and running. I have tried for weeks to get something going but I can't. Is anyone willing to teach me or resolve these issue?

What operating system do you use?
On win98 SE, I added this to my defaults.cfg file:
[Mime] # PHP Config php=application/x-httpd-php [Filter] .php=c:\PHP\php.exe
where c:\PHP\ is the path to my PHP executable.
In php.ini, I set: cgi.force_redirect=0
I have windows XP PRO and I added the same lines.
I just dont know what to do with MYSQl and PHPBB. I am a rookie.
