hi all,

What is the best way to get a date entered from a form and saved in a database as a UNIX timestamp?

I thought of haveing 3 drop down boxes one for the Month, one for the Day and one for the year. Then validate the date and convert it into a timestamp before saving it in the databse.

Would that be hard to code?

No, that wouldn't be hard to code. You can also just give them a text field with some options for formatting the date, then validate the input ([man]checkdate[/man] helps), then [man]strtotime[/man].
