is there a way to only display the first (specified) amount of characters of a feild on a page?
Say i have a Table Set up in Mysql titled Editorials, and with in that table was the feilds:
Title
Info (the full editorial)
posted by
posted on
Is there a way, i can set it up so on a specified page that i list the all the Editorials on, it displays all the feilds but for the "info" part it only shows the first say, 50 characters?
i know how to set it up to show all the entries from the table, and how to show all the feilds, basicly, i want on certain pages, for the "info" feild to be summerized or not the full thing.
say i typed a 300 character editoral, on a certain page, i only want it set to display, say the first 50 characters.
