select all except...

I need a select statement that excludes any records with the letter "O" in the AttrCodes field (and unfortunately there are other letter codes in that field as well).

In my make-believe world, this would work:

select distinct RepFName, RepLName, Title, AttrCodes from members where RepCompany = \"$RepCompany\" and AttrCodes != '%O%'

Since this is the real world (and it doesn't), how do I keep out the records that contain the letter O in the AttrCodes field?

I think you have to use like instead of !=....

 
...and AttrCodes NOT LIKE '%O%'...
