PHP Module bz2

I have a site on a shared server. I tried to install a script and got a message from the software:

Please compile PHP with the option --with-bz2,or load the module dynamicly. You have to edit section Dynamic Extensionsin the php.ini and restart your Webserver.

I do not have access to php.ini file. I have asked my host to do this, but haven't heard back yet. Is it likely they'd do it or is it a security risk?

Alternatively, how would I oad the module dynamicly ?

Well firstly bz2 must be installed on the server. Hosts arent always that smart and usually have no idea how to set things up, and any addition seems like a big security risk (there are of course very good hosts which know what they are doing 😉 ).

Ok firstly i cannot see them installing it in the PHP Installation for you. It probably isnt even installed on the server. Before trying to dynamically load it which i do not think is possible (im sure ill be proven wrong) as ive never tried, id ask if that is installed first.
