[Resolved] Last Id in the database question

Hello,

I'm curious about something. If you enter IP addresses into a database, and gave them an ID that of course was auto counted up as they were entered.

1. {insert ip here}
2. {insert ip here}
3. {insert ip here}
4. {insert ip here}
   ...and so on...

How would you get it to call the very last IP.. or more or less for any kindof of database the last id

SELECT ipad FROM table ORDER BY id DSC LIMIT 1

This is MySQL query wat u looking for... where ipad is column name of IP stored id is column thats auto incrementing

In MySQL:
SELECT ip_address
FROM table
ORDER BY id DESC
LIMIT 1

In databases that support subqueries:
SELECT ip_address
FROM table
WHERE id = (SELECT max(id) FROM table)
