query with $ in it

if i hhave a query like this :

select * from tbl1 where encryptname='sdfdsf34d$sadretert#&'

will it make a problem that there is $ which represents a variable or any of the other above chars?

I wouldnt think so because to assign a variable it would have to be something like:

$variablename = varaiable data.

I have had a the $ sign insome queries before (encrypted data) and it did not seem to bother my php or mysql script. If you do get problems, let us see it and we will build that bridge and get over it too!
