[Resolved] what happens when you have 2 webservers??

ok, so i really like my Apache web server, but also doing some ASP on the side. And was wondering what happens when you install a second web server. IIS etc.

Im just curious cause I dont want to mess up my beloved Apache environment.

for e.g when you type in the loopback url => http://127.0.0.1 - which web server will run then?

is it safe to install a second server? just want to know before i install it.

IIS and Apache don't play well together (unless you defined a PORT usage on one, so you call one as http://127.0.0.1 and the other as http://127.0.0.1:8000 for example.) Basically, when you startup, they both try to run as a service. IIS will start first, and Apache will fail to start because the port is being used by IIS... They can both co-exist, but not run together unless you setup like I described above. Isn't there an ASP module for Apache somewhere? (I used IIS for a long time, but since I switched to Apache, I have abandoned all notions of trying to use IIS or ASP.

thanx. think what ill do is just stick to Apache and try my ASP scripts online and not be bothered about running two webservers, ha can just hear clients going "what is this learning_asp folder on my webserver?"
