I have two servers...one that I pay for, and one on my laptop that I use for testing. This script works for the one I pay for, but not for the home one. Do you know what's wrong?

There could be so many answers to this. You're talking two different enviroments and give us no detail. 1) The script relies on register_globals. Is register_globals ON on the laptop? 2) Session settings. Are your laptops settings all pointing to the right directory and working? 3) MySQL. Up and going on the laptop? Connection works? connection.php is in the same working directory or in the include path? Username an password correct? Server connection setting correct?
1) Didn't think of that. I would have to use $_GET to have it not using globals? 2) Perhaps this is only Gentoo related, but it says "session.save_path = /tmp". Well, that line is commented out...would I point that towards my hosting directory? 3) MySQL's up and going...I installed wordpress on it earlier.
1) $POST, $GET, $SESSION, $COOKIE, $_SERVER, whatever applies to what you're doing.
2) You need a save path on the local computer. Create C:\sessions and put that in as your session.save_path. It needs someplace to hold the session files.
