PHPSESSID number

Please can you help?

I am new to php only having just mastered basic html enough to spot where there is an error.

Can someone please tell me how I get a phpsessid number as this is needed to attach pages and sections to the main document. Is this located in the ftp uploader or someplace else please?

I have learnt how to create a database and how to create 666 and 777 tables. I have a huge problem on my site which I need to fix to do with paths but I believe I probably need a different sessid number to the one I have now.

I discovered that the friend who put my fiction together did not bother to configure the stories.php file to 777 nor the config.php file to 666 as requested in the instructions.

When I went to add something else to the database following instructions I found these files had been character moded to 644 and it upset everything that was already there. Sigh.

Please can someone point me in the right direction

Secondly i dont think i quite understood you very well. Anyway here is how you get the PHPSESSID.

It is the phpsessid number that is quoted in a string of text when you are attaching a page to a page or a section to a section. Certain php scripts like efiction 1.1 which is what I need it for, require a phpsessid number.
