[RESOLVED] deleting a specific username and passeword from a list

hi guys,

I have a password protected page that uses a text file to store account usernames and passwords. Like the subject suggest, i want have a system that can delete a specific account from that users list text file. This is how the text file is formated:

the file has 3 categories separated by tabs namely the username, and the encrypted password

Is this possible? please help! tnx in advance...

ugh! you should really think about using a database instead, anyway, let's say you want to delete benny...

That is not a very good setup at all, dude, I'm very sorry to have to tell you this, but using a .txt file to store usernames and passwords is about the same as plastering them on a billboard for the whole world to see.

You're better off with a database. Even if you were to put within a secured SSL environment it could still be hacked and found.
