I want to make a simple script to count specific word in a phrase.someting like this:

$phrase == "If you do not want to add a poll to your topic leave the fields blank to;
I want to count how many times the word "to" was used in the phrase.
Can anyone help me with this.

You may need to use this regular expression function in order to distinguish between the word "to" and the embedded string inside another word "toward" or "into."
