Hi there. Tracy here. Can I get an explanation on the below code??

echo "<option value='AL'".($sel=='AL'?' selected':'').">Alabama</option>";

That is a ternary operator. It's basically a compact if statement. If $sel is set to 'AL', then that option from the list will be selected.
