Are you talking about the Xylocopa or Apis mellifera. I don't want to go getting myself affiliated with the wrong one and then have to experience a big chunk of retribution on the day of reckoning.
Wiley.com published a nice lil book I have been using called... Secure PHP Development and can be found somewhere on wiley.com. The book comes with a CD with 50+ applications, an eBook version and versions of Apache, PHP, and MySQL. A good book for beginner/intermediates in PHP, and experts who skipped out on a few lessons and tutorials in PHP.
