editing text files

I am using a txt file for my emails. I have no clue on how to edit them thru like an admin script in browser.

Any suggestions would be great.

[man]file_get_contents/man to read, [man]file_put_contents/man to write.
Just write a form with a textarea and then write the data from it to the file.
