Parse HTML pages

Hi,

Wanted to update a book list from a webshop, but they can't offer a XML solution. So my only way is parse the HTML page.

Do anyone have some good information of how to do that in a effectiv way?
A link to a website maybe?
An already made script I can modify?

Im not sure about any scripts you may find http://hotscripts.com useful

However doing something like this can be hard and it will be a very slow process depending on how much HTML needs to be parsed to find the information you require

You may find some help on the PHP Manual, id also suggest searching the forums incase there is a solution posted here.

Well to be sure I checked out hotscripts one more time, but could't find any interesting.

I know it will be a slow process, but this funktion will only have to get this information a couple times a week, and not all the tie a user is looking at my website. Thought of runing it once a day with a cronjob.

Ok im not exactly going to post you a script on how to do it however ill show you what type of php built in functions you will require

fsockopen
fread
file
preg_match_all

Thats simple list you may find taking a search on these forums you may find some solutions or start of solutions 🙂
