Creating New POP Email Accounts

Is it possible to create POP email accounts via a PHP script? If so, any pointers? 🙂

yes its possible. the command sequence and steps vary for different pop servers. you should read the documentation on whatever pop mail server you have. you can use php's execution operators to send commands to the server to create the account.

So it's a matter of sending COMMAND LINE calls? I'm not too familiar with what commands I will need, and I'm not sure where to start looking.

I'm familiar with the ` (backtick) functionality, just need a little shove or better yet example code for any situation.

you will just need to read the documentation that came with your pop mail server. it should outline exactly how to create a new account. but its different for every one so its impossible to give an example w/out knowing which server and version.
