I am building a site using postnuke, a content management system written entirely in PHP. I have posted the following problem in the postnuke support forums and have received no response so I'm trying here as my next-to-last resort.

When navigating through my site, I occasionally (about one page in four, randomly) get this error in a popup dialog box: Invalid character in line 239. Debug? Ignore?

If I click debug, I get a message saying no debugging environment is present. If I click ignore, I get the same invalid character message a second time and, after clicking ignore again, the page loads normally.

Postnuke includes a hundred or more PHP scripts and I've searched through most of them looking for anything that might look like an invalid character...and found nothing.

BTW, this problem appears only when using Internet Explorer but not with Mozilla.

Can someone point me in the right direction as to how to hunt down this bug? At least how to determine which script it might be in? Or is it possibly something in IE?

Any help would be deeply appreciated.
