If statements - getting confused

Hi there,

Basically I want to show this heading and paragraph as a default to an entry page:

<h3 id="news">WorkWise News and Minutes</h3>
<p>This page contains news articles about WorkWise and information about our current projects.</p>

but if the user click one of my categories I want the default header and paragraph hidden and the relevant heading to show.

This is my dynamic heading code:


<?php if ($cat || $category_name) : ?><h3>You are viewing the <?php cg_catname(); ?> Category</h3><?php endif; ?>

How do I combine the 2 please.

I'm not quite sure what your asking but your above if statemnt is using OR (|| = OR)

So.....

if ($cat == "Blah) { do this }
if ($cat == "Blah2") { do this }
if (($cat != "blah" || $cat != "blah2")) { do this }

etc etc..

Hi there, well I want to show the hard coded h3 tage and paragraph on page entry. When someone clicks a category I want the entry h3 and paragraph hidden and replaced by the dynamic one 🙂

} else {
