idea for coding

Hello PHP people -

I'm doing some work for a news site and I'm trying to write a script that shows related stories to the one selected.

Is there a clever way of doing this?

I think I should search first the common words in the selected news and search each one in the other news, so the news that have more than x occurencies should be considered related......

Is that the best idea.......no?

Personally, I don't believe that that is a great idea because you will have to filter out all the conjunctions and definite/indefinite articles, prepostions, etc.

What I would is associate keywords or topics with each articles, and articles that shared keywords would be considered related articles.
