Session tracking

Hi!

I have made a login system using PHP sessions, it all works fine, but unless the user logsout, the session remains active :/

Is there a way to set the session to timeout after 10 minutes, for example?

• My server is a windows box.

Set a session variable containing the expiration time; check it and if the current time > expiration, revoke the login.

If you're worrying about files in /tmp, don't. They will be cleaned up eventually.

Thanks for your reply, I have changed the probability and divisor settings in the php.ini file, so it always results in 100%

That should be good, unfortunately, the garbage collection is done every 30 minutes, I wanted the session to expire after 10 minutes only .. if possible, that is.
