[Resolved] How Fast Are Objects?

I am presently developing some classes for use with forms (I prefer to build them myself). This is a question for the experienced, so that I know which direction to go in my code design:

Which of the two scenarios is faster:

1. Every form field (popup, textarea, whatever) is a NEW OBJECT. (i.e. Set the values in the head section and display it in the body)

2. Every form field is a FUNCTION CALL.

... or are they about the same.

BTW these functions/classes do a lot more than just return the html markup, so I am not interested in just doing straight html here!

Note also that the second option, with the function calls incorporates a lot of variables in its list of arguments, wheras the objects may only include what is necessary/initialized.

First things first, its IMHO - In My Humble Oppinion.

Now as for your question, you basically answered it yourself. There will be no speed difference between using objects and using a bunch of functions (they are basically the same thing in all versions of PHP previous to 5). But using objects will clean up your code alot (if it's coded correctly) in that you won't have to be passing around tons of variables to make all of your functions opperate correctly.
