Closing the space between text lines

I am trying to fit a house address written in text in a set area on the page, and cant seem to make it fit! i have heard that this can be solved by the use of Style Sheets, but what properties do i have to use to close the gap between the line and the one above??
I know this isnt really php or sql, but its related, because i have to generate the code from the database. (I know how to do that!!)

Install Firefox. Install the Web developer extension. Use the CSS editor. Observe how properties affect display.
