Take a look at the [man]ODBC[/man] functions in the PHP Manual. You need to setup PHP to work with ODBC (for MS Access), so yes it's possible.

is there a sample script? I've seen some Access-97 stuff somewhere. I'm looking for something up to date as possible.

Follow the link I gave you. The manual has examples of how to use ODBC to connect PHP to Access Databases. If you Google something like "PHP and ODBC" or something, you'll probably find some results pretty easily with examples.

This W3C page has some usage examples, although I don't use ODBC, so I'm not going to verify the article, but it is the W3C, so I imaginr it's decent enough.
