how to get the list of sites in a web server

HI,
does anybody know how to get the list of web sites which resides in a web server.
well basically what i want is ,

log in to a web server and then, at a given time i want to know how many people hosted in that web server.(just to read the information no need to change them) i want details like the url and the count of sites that in that web server.

does anybody have any idea of how to achive this.all the comments are welcome

You're looking at how many sites are hosted in a virtual hosting setup, methinks, and that might depend on the webserver as it would depend on the server configuration (files).

well actually i dont want to no how many can be hosted in a perticular web server. i just want to know any given time how many sites are hosted in that web server.
