I just started on a new project in php that involves complex math and matrix. I found that I could handle almost everything with 2 pear packages (Math_Complex and Math_Matrix). But, at one point in my program I will need to optimize (well minimize) a function to get something I need. A lot like the fminsearch matlab function ( http://www.mathworks.com/access/helpdesk/help/techdoc/ref/fminsearch.html ). Is there anything available to do something similar in php?
