Howto get information from my.ini

How do i get the information out from my.ini for the (basedir)

-> basedir=C:/ServerApp/mysql/
-> $basedir="C://ServerApp//mysql//";

[man]ini_get[/man]? [man]get_cfg_var[/man]? In fact, that information can probably be retrieved from the $_SERVER array.
