Creating login page and submitting data

I was wondering if anyonecan help me out with something because im just starting to learn php and what I need to do is more advanced and I have no clue where to start.

I am going to setup a page, when you go there it says login username and password. There would be about 30 users. When they login there will be 2 teams for that week playing all they have to do is hit a check off box or select it from a dropdown and hit submit and it will go into a ms access database, That database entry will record the username, selection and date and time of submission . I will have to update the page every week with the new 2 teams to choose but I would make all the pages in advance and just upload the updated pages with teams every week. I was wondering if anyone can help me with this or point me in a good direction to start also im reading all of there terms MySQL, ODBC and dbase. do i need one of theses and if i do which one is the easiest to use? Thanks!

It's not absolutely clear on what you're trying to do. Why/how are you using msaccess with php??

If you're problem relates purely to how to put together a membership system you could take a look at this:

thanks. I will try to make myself a little more clear so maby someone can help me with this. The first step im going to have to take to to create a user database with 30users. after i do that they will go to a page. it will have a form they will select things on the form and hit submit. After they do that all of there selected data will be sent to MS Access database. Any ideas???
