easy php code

im having an issue with an easy php code. I can only get the code to work in its original folder. It seems like ive done everything, ive even attempted both absolute and relative paths.

I cannot get the code to work in the atv_association folder when the topbar.gif file is in the main folder.

website = arizonaquadracers.com/index.php
it works for this page

It doesnt work in http://www.arizonaquadracers.com/atv_association/atv_tracks.php

Here is the code im using to call the topbar.gif
<?php include "topbar.php"; ?>

How can i get the file to load correctly for the atv_tracks.php file.

topbar.php is in your 'top directory' yes?

and you have tried:

<?php include "../topbar.php"; ?>

and

<?php include "/home/user/public_html/topbar.php"; ?>

I think you can do this:

<?php include "./topbar.php"; ?>

<?php include "../topbar.php"; ?> - I dont get any errors but I get a box the size of the image with an x in the left hand corner.

<?php include "/home/user/public_html/topbar.php"; ?> - when I use this one i get the error below.

Warning: main(/home/user/public_html/topbar.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/azquad/arizonaquadracers-www/atv_association/atv_tracks.php on line 12

<?php include "./topbar.php"; ?> - works. HOLY CRAP. IT WORKS.

Ive been to several other forums and nobody has been able to figure out the right code. Thanks man, your my hero. J/K. but thanks a lot. Ive been stuck on this code for 2 weeks.

The error is pretty straightforward...

Warning: main(/home/user/public_html/topbar.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/azquad/arizonaquadracers-www/atv_association/atv_tracks.php on line 12

/home/user/public_html probably doesn't exist on the server, but if you used /home/azquad/arizonaquadracers-www/topbar.php, the full path to where it is on that server, it would probably work
