OK, Off the soapbox now, Zend Studio is the way to go... It is feature rich, and is one of the best PHP IDEs... Of course, the problem is that you are an admitted total newbie, so the $249.00 price tag may be a deterrence... (but it is an exceptional price for what the product is and does.)
So, if that cost deters you, you can always seek a free IDE, which is a good learning tool. Dev-PHP is a good free IDE.
